A routine physical is a comprehensive health exam focused on overall wellness, early detection of illness, and updating medical history. A sports physical (pre-participation exam) is targeted to athletic and activity clearance—assessing injury risk, musculoskeletal health, and overall readiness for sports participation.

We recommend annual physical exams for all adults and children to keep your health on track. Schedule a sports physical every athletic season or before starting new physical activities.

Bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, any required school, camp, or team forms, and a list of current medications and any recent injuries or illnesses. If you wear glasses or contacts, bring those for vision screening.

Most insurance plans cover annual routine physicals as part of preventive care. Sports physical coverage varies—check with your plan or contact our office for specific details.
